What is Mutual Housing?
Alamo Area Mutual Housing is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit partnership of resident and representatives of government, community service organizations and the business community.
AAMHA is focused upon a comprehensive approach to the development, ownership, and management of new and existing leased housing while promoting resident education,
self-sufficiency, leadership and volunteerism through successful partnership.
AAMHA offers residents:
- Opportunities to be a part of a stable community

- A voice in operation of their housing
Programs:
- 4-H
- Pathway's Youth Program
- UTSA Music Camp
- Youth Against Crime
- Art Based Enrichment Activities
- Computer Center
- Youth Council
4-H Partnership
- Develop a service organization at each mutual housing association location that will sponsor an urban 4-H club on a long-term basis.
- Recruit and train community volunteers with youth on projects such as gardening, Arts & Crafts, Public Speaking and more.
- To have AAMH 4-H clubs participate in at least two (2) county level projects per year.
- To have AAMH 4-H clubs take part in at least one (1) community service project per year.
- To have each AAMH 4-H member earn a 4-H year pin by completing the Membership Achievement Plan and be able to be recognized at the Bexar County 4-H Awards &
Recognition Program.
