Barrett and Tice Parker

Barrett and Tice Parker recently won first place for their “Designer Genes” presentation at State Roundup Competition. Their high tech talk was selected from among many in a highly competitive category. They have been asked repeat their performance later this year before a group of Extension Service professionals during a conference. Great work, Barrett and Tice!

Leader Registration Form Required

All 4-H volunteer leaders who work directly with youth MUST now complete the Texas 4-H Volunteer Leader Registration Form. The forms will be distributed by Club Managers before your club re-enrolls for the new 4-H year. The form includes self-disclosure statements and reference information. They give all 4-H families some level of assurance about the other adults who are working with their children. This is the first step in a statewide process for screening volunteers that will begin September 1, 2001. If you have any questions about the volunteer forms, please contact Karen at 467-6575.
